Welcome to Estidama Craft: An Educational Video Game That Encourages Sustainable Behaviors, Inspired by UAE’s natural landscape
Step into the world of Estidama Craft, a unique interactive realm designed to encourage children to learn about sustainability through an immersive and interactive gaming experience. Inspired by the UAE’s beautiful natural landscape and biodiversity, Estidama Craft guides players into a world of sustainable exploration and behavioural change which also unfolds as an educational iteration that is complemented by five curated lesson plans, designed to transform each gaming session into an educational journey on sustainability.
Estidama Craft is available for download on Minecraft Education and Minecraft Marketplace. Once the game is downloaded, players are presented with several challenges in each biome that need to be resolved while emphasising sustainability as the key objective in mind, fostering a deep understanding of eco-conscious solutions.

Embark on a journey through the city where reducing, reusing and recycling is the key to cultivating a greener, more sustainable mindset. Players must collect waste from around the city and learn all about the importance of mindful consumption and transforming items into reusable treasures.

Enter the Coastal portal and meet the ‘Guardians of the Coast’, also known as Mangroves. Although they are known to have many environmental and economic benefits, mangroves in the UAE have multiple challenges that can harm them and hinder their survival. Here, players will learn all about these problems and will explore ways to save the habitat from destruction. This journey concludes with designing and building a mangrove sanctuary using everything they learned throughout this experience.

Dive into an underwater adventure to learn about how important coral reefs are to the ecosystem and to understand how sea turtles are under threat around the world due to loss of habitat and climate change. Players will then be encouraged to use their creativity and knowledge of marine life in the UAE to design a marine protected area that fosters biodiversity and protects our precious marine life.
