The UAE 50th National Day show produced original music that beautifully mixes traditional Emirati themes with modern instruments to mark the Golden Jubilee. The album which includes the full musical score is now available on several music streaming services such as Apple Music, Spotify, Anghami, and Deezer. The show’s soundtrack was composed by international and local musicians and artists including Emirati music composer Mohammed Al Ahmed; renowned composers Jade Pybus and Andy Theakstone; Pierre Mussche and others.
The score includes both contemporary poems by some of the UAE’s leading poets. It also featured traditional songs from the UAE’s heritage, usually sung by fishermen, farmers and pearl divers, titled Al Hudwat.
The UAE 50th National Day Official Celebration also featured the theme song, titled Hathi Al Emarat, which translates to “This is the UAE”, The song is written by Rashed Sharar, composed by Music Composer Mohammed Al Ahmed, with sound engineering and mixing by Adam Miller and Ali Al Ameer and performed by UAE Choir Group.
Released to UAE radio and television channels, the song also features in services offered by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), Etisalat and Du.
