Earlier in 2023, in preparation for the global climate change event COP28, the UAE introduced the "Road to COP28" event, which focused on engaging with the youth through different activities and discussion circles, where The UAE Year of Sustainability Experts Network participated by sharing their expertise and knowledge around climate change.

Duroor Nights with Al Sadeem Astronomy
Year of Sustainability collaborated with Al Sadeem Observatory, to host an activation to combine the ancient Duroor system with modern celestial exploration. Participants observed the stars, and planets, experienced the Cosmic Cube, and engaged in astrophotography.
