    Inspiring Heroes

    Ali Alloghani

    Ali Alloghani

At just 13 years old, Ali Alloghani has found his passion: innovation for sustainability. His father told him that ever since he was a toddler, Ali was finding ways to help the environment. At four years old, he would pick up trash that he saw others throw from their car windows.

As he grew up, his parents greatly encouraged his ventures. His father, an engineer, lent him his knowledge and technical support, and his mother stood by his side, continuously reminding him that he can do everything he sets his mind to. So began his career as an innovative engineer.

" Think outside the box, how will you protect the things you love using sustainability? "

As part of the Emirates Science Club, Ali won a gold medal for one of his inventions: a sustainable electric charging station that combines the use of solar energy with advanced monitoring technologies and smart control systems. With the addition of a mobile application, this station would provide environmentally friendly charging infrastructure along highways. Isn’t that amazing?

His latest invention, HydroPower, utilises solar energy to activate hydrogen fuel cells, which then turn into renewable energy to create more efficient electricity. Ali will present his new invention on his trip to California, USA. “It’s one of my first innovations to have its own logo,” he shares excitedly.

Ali’s inspiration comes from the UAE’s leadership and their vision for the country’s future, which he hopes to be a part of. He encourages people to think of what makes them excited and apply sustainability to it the same way he applied sustainability to innovation. “Think outside the box,” he urges. “How will you protect the things you love using sustainability?”
