Terms and Conditions 

Any participant under the age of 18 must have the consent of their parent or legal guardian to participate in “Our Children’s Album”. The consenting parent or legal guardian confirms that they are at least 18 years of age, have the legal authority to act on behalf of the participating child, and consent to the child’s participation in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

• By submitting, you agree that your family’s photos may be featured on the official UAE Year Of platforms, if selected.
• You confirm that you have no objection to the use, publication, and distribution of your submitted materials as part of this initiative and in any current or future UAE Year Of projects across all platforms.
  Once your submission is sent, it will be considered final and cannot be edited or withdrawn through the form
• Submission does not guarantee selection, publication, or feature.
• The UAE Year Of team reserves the right to review, moderate, and decide which submissions are featured.
• If your submission includes other family members, you confirm that you have no objection to the use, publication, and distribution of their images across UAE Year Of platforms.
• By submitting, you confirm that you hold full copyright ownership of the content and that no third party holds any rights to the submitted materials.
• The UAE Year Of team reserves the right not to publish any submission that does not align with the purpose or guidelines of the open call.
• Submissions should not include personal or sensitive information that could identify or locate a child, including home addresses, school details, identification documents, telephone numbers or other private information. The UAE Year Of team reserves the right to edit and remove such information before publication.
• The UAE Year Of team reserves the right to contact the child’s parent or legal guardian to verify consent prior to the publication or use of any submitted materials.
• The UAE Year Of reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions where necessary.
   

Photo Guidelines

Please upload photos into the album that capture a meaningful moment or shared experience with your family.

Your photo choice can include:

• A family portrait or group photo
• A candid, unposed moment
• Hands showing a shared moment as a family (e.g. cooking, building)
• A ritual, routine, or shared activity
• An object that holds special meaning or tells a story (e.g. jewellery, a favourite book, a handwritten note, or something passed down through generations)
• Natural, personal moments that reflect your family’s story
• Everyday or special occasions that show what family means to you
• Drawings or illustrations expressing what family means to you

To help keep the experience enjoyable and appropriate for all children and families, please avoid the following when taking part in Our Children’s Album:

• Avoid political messages, symbols, slogans, or references to political figures or movements.
• Avoid content that may be offensive, discriminatory, disrespectful, or inappropriate for children and families.
• Avoid content that reflects violent, frightening, or disturbing images, drawings, symbols, or messages.
• Avoid adding content that promotes harmful, unsafe, or illegal behaviour.
• Avoid any religious or cultural content presented in a way that may be disrespectful or offensive to others.
• Avoid adding personal or private information, such as home addresses, phone numbers, school details, identification documents, or other sensitive information.
• Avoid logos, advertisements, or content that promotes commercial brands or products.
• Avoid content copied from another person, artist, character, publication, or online source rather than created by the child.
• Avoid any words, drawings, gestures, or symbols intended to insult, or negatively portray another person or community.
